A new name on a long-standing licence. Here is exactly who you are dealing with, what we hold, and what we will and won’t claim.
Who we actually are
BugBoss Pest Control Brisbane is a registered business name of 10X Pty Ltd (ABN 81 644 370 525), a Queensland company holding QBCC licence 15315305 for Termite Management — Chemical and Termite Management — Physical, with Jason Cartledge as nominee. Jason also holds Queensland pest management technician licence PMT 1004307814 and has more than twenty years in Brisbane pest management behind him.
BugBoss covers the Bayside and Northside corridor — Redland Bay through Wynnum and Wellington Point, up across the northside to Sandgate, Bracken Ridge and Redcliffe. We do not cover the Gold Coast or the southside, and we will tell you so rather than take a booking we cannot service properly.
You will not find a star rating or a review count on this website. That is deliberate. BugBoss is a new name and it has not earned one yet, and putting up a five-star badge we can’t substantiate — or borrowing one from a related business — is precisely the conduct the ACCC has fined companies for. When we have genuine reviews under this name, we will publish the real number and the real average, and you will be able to check both against Google.
In the meantime, judge us on the things you can verify: the licences below, the insurance, the standards we report to, and the fact that we publish the product names and APVMA numbers for everything we put in your house.

Two licences, and why it matters
Queensland requires two separate licences for termite management work, and most pest control websites only mention one. A Queensland Health pest management technician licence is required to undertake pest management activities at all. A QBCC termite management licence is required for treated zones and barrier work — and QBCC states plainly that anyone supervising or performing termite management chemical work must also hold a Queensland pest management licence.
Almost nobody in Brisbane publishes their pest management technician number. Ask for both — from us and from anyone else quoting you. If a company will not give you both numbers in writing, that is your answer.

We say our work is carried out to these standards. We do not say we are “AS 3660 certified” or “Australian Standards approved”, because standards are complied with rather than certified against.
What we won’t say
- “Chemical free” — not if a registered pesticide is being applied, which it is.
- “100% safe” or “non-toxic” — we give you the specific version instead: APVMA registration, formulation, and re-entry time. See Safety & Chemicals.
- “Eco-friendly” unqualified — environmental claims are an ACCC enforcement priority and unsubstantiated ones are greenwashing.
- “Guaranteed eradication” — termite work is management, not eradication, and no treatment can promise otherwise.
- “Best in Brisbane” — that is a comparative superiority claim we would have to be able to prove.
- “One in three Queensland homes” — the underlying study is national, counts termites anywhere on the property, and dates from 1996–98. We use the Brisbane figures and cite them.
How we price
Fixed price, confirmed in writing, before anyone touches your house. If the job turns out to be different when we arrive — a bigger footprint, access we were not told about, a second pest — we stop and tell you before doing anything you have not agreed to.
