Warranty & Guarantees
What is covered, for how long, what is excluded, and the rights you have regardless of anything we offer.
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled: 1. to cancel your service contract with us; and 2. to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the failure does not amount to a major failure you are entitled to have problems with the service rectified in a reasonable time and, if this is not done, to cancel your contract and obtain a refund for the unused portion of the contract.
Anything we offer below is in addition to those rights, not instead of them.
Service warranty on general pest treatments

If a covered pest returns inside the warranty period we come back and re-treat at no charge. The warranty requires that treated surfaces were not washed down, bait was left in place, and we are given reasonable access to re-treat.
Termite management
Termidor HE treated zones
- Eight-year protected zone on a correctly installed and maintained system.
- $2 million timber replacement warranty, provided through the product by the manufacturer, subject to the manufacturer’s terms.
- Conditional on annual inspections. AS 3660.2 requires inspections at intervals of no more than twelve months, and both the protected zone and the timber warranty depend on those inspections being carried out by a licensed professional. Miss them and the cover lapses — this is the single most common way people lose protection they have already paid for.
- The zone must remain intact. Landscaping, paving, decks, sheds, pools and garden beds installed after the treatment can breach it, and work of that kind should be followed by a re-treatment of the affected section.
Trelona ATBS
- $200 per station installed in soil, $270 per station cored through concrete.
- Two service visits a year, six months apart.
- Free monitoring until eradication if live termites are found in the stations.
- Conditional on the service agreement remaining current and stations remaining accessible and undisturbed.
A termite management system manages risk; it does not eradicate termites and it cannot make a building immune. Warranties of this kind cover the circumstances set out in their terms — they are not open-ended insurance against any termite damage from any cause. Anyone telling you their guarantee means you can never have a termite problem again is describing something that does not exist.

Call 0419 803 194 or email info@bugboss.com.au with the property address and the invoice or report number. There is no cost to make a claim and no cost to us attending to assess it. We will tell you within the call whether it falls inside the warranty and, if it does not, why — rather than sending someone out and invoicing you afterwards.
